From the front, this CCW purse for women looks like a beautiful leather hip bag. The back hides a pocket made just for your handgun.
Concealed Carry Purse 10.3-05 has a black cowhide body. The lid mixes tan ostrich, mahogany rose print, and rust-and-crème hair-on-hide. Copper studs trim the edge, and an oval copper filigree center piece with a stone inlay sits in the middle.
Every bag is handmade by Hip Bag Company in Eaton, Colorado. We’ve been making leather hip bags here since 1999.
The concealed carry compartment is on the back of the bag, resting against your body. Nobody looking at the front would guess what’s behind it.
Inside the pocket, a leather hammock and a hook-and-loop strap hold your handgun in place. It won’t slide around while you walk. A double zipper keeps the pocket closed.
The pocket fits most .38 Special revolvers, the Glock 42, and .22 caliber handguns.
Your firearm gets its own space, so it never ends up under your keys or wallet. Two simple habits help a lot: keep only the firearm in that pocket, and keep the bag on your body.
Each purse is cut, stitched, and finished by hand in our Colorado workshop.
Our designers, Dianna and Kathy French, treat every lid like a small piece of art. On this one, shiny ostrich, a rich rose print, and soft hair-on-hide come together under a ring of copper studs.

This is a compact CCW purse, about 8.5 x 2 x 5.5 inches inside. It holds what you need without the bulk.
The main compartment has a zip top under a magnetic snap lid, so your things stay put.
A small inside pocket keeps your ID and a credit card easy to grab. There’s also room for keys, cash, a slim wallet, and lip balm, all kept apart from your firearm.
The rear pocket has a double zipper that opens from either side.
If you’re left-handed or right-handed, you can reach your firearm from your strong side. You can also wear the bag on either hip.

The bag weighs about ¾ of a pound empty. You can wear it all day and barely notice it.
Worn at the hip, it keeps your handgun within about four inches of your body. That’s closer and steadier than a handbag swinging from your shoulder.

One quick reminder before you travel: check the carry laws in every state on your route. And never bring a firearm through airport security. If you’re flying, take the handgun out and follow TSA rules for checked bags.
